Welcome to the Atlanta HBCU Alumni Alliance Web site. This is a place where people can find out what HBCU Alumni Chapters in the Atlanta Area are doing. Looking for a listing of chapters and events? This is the place.

We invite you to participate in the HBCU Alumni Atlanta community. Collectively, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) total more than 100 institutions, enroll more than 370,000 students, graduate nearly 25% of all African-American undergraduate degrees and take account for over half of today's African-American professionals.

Individually, we can boast of having in our ranks the first Time Magazine / Princeton Review College of the Year, producing the highest number of African-American Commissioned Officers, recruiting the largest number of National Merit Scholars, becoming the only college ever to be designated a national historic site, placing the largest number of African-Americans to medical school and much, much, more.

HBCU Alumni chapters in the Atlanta area will be meeting on Thursday, August 18, 2008 at the Varsity Restaurant Downtown, 61 North Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30308. The meeting will start promptly at 6:30 PM. The purpose of this meeting is to plan joint activities between our chapters. If your chapter is interested in participating it is very important that a representative from your chapter be present at this and future meetings.
